Beds On Clouds #WindhamNY

Location: Bed on Clouds | 5320 NY-23, Windham NY 12496 | Ph: 518 734 4692

WHAT I'M WEARING:

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of visiting the Catskill Mountains (Upstate NY) with my family, to celebrate a very special wedding anniversary for my parents. We stayed at Bed On Clouds, a boutique Bed & Breakfast in Windham NY located right on Main Street. This B&B is highly rated, and awarded #2 best B&B by TripAdvisor in the area. It truly was a little piece of heaven in the mountains, and the lovely owners/Inn-Keepers made us feel right at home. I really enjoy Bed & Breakfasts'; the intimacy, peacefulness, and close to home feeling that a hotel can not provide.

Bed On Clouds gets it's name for two reasons:
1. You are so high up in the mountains the clouds and sky are simply magnificent.
2. Every room's ceiling is painted sky blue with clouds.

I loved the quirkiness and quaintness that each room had. So much character, and history in every corner. Owners Rebecca & Susumu are world travelers, who's stories and life experiences made the trip that much more enjoyable. Susumu, a famous NY photographer, has even shot + collabed with Andy Warhol! There is a special gallery on the property dedicated to his work, and it is simply awesome. The rooms were large, the beds very comfortable, and newly renovated bathroom was beautiful. Now let's chat FOOD- the breakfast was delish! I also loved the fresh baked french bread every morning. I could get used to that!

My favorite escape was the garden area. I felt like it was straight out of a movie. Better yet... a fashion editorial. I have been channeling a 1950's vibe lately with fit & flare accents all Summer long. Mixing bright colors, and going bold with a checkered blouse added a fun touch to this look.

Windham NY is a beautiful area for a weekend getaway. I know your normal go-to's might be the Hamptons or Jersey Shore, but consider this mountain adventure. Extremely peaceful, lot's to do with your family or romantic getaway, and not to far from the city. I highly recommend Bed on Clouds boutique Bed & Breakfast.

... more mountain adventures coming soon!

Hidden in the #Hamptons

WHAT I'M WEARING:
Dress: Ralph Lauren | Shoes: Valentino | Handbag/Jewels: Kara Ross

Every woman needs a killer LBD (Little Black Dress) in their wardrobe. I am constantly on the go, traveling and living out of my rolly suitcase. I HATE to iron, and love to pack easy to wear pieces that I can roll up into a ball with no worries. I always think it's best to over-pack, you just never know how you are going to feel when you wake up, or an unexpected dinner/event might present itself. Obvi you can not be seen in the same thing twice, so what's a girl to do?!

PACK AN EXTRA LBD AT ALL TIMES
This fashion tip will come in handy, trust me.

I am basically in love with this curve-hugging shoulder hole dress by Ralph Lauren. It is easy to wear, and I feel extremely sexy in it. The best part is, I am not showing much skin. The neck line and hem length are perfect,  the added shoulder cut out's give just the right amount of sass. This piece is fab because it does not require any ironing AND it's machine washable.
(pretty much just hit the fashionista jackpot)

I paired the dress with these killer nude studded Valentino stilettos. Yes, I do mean killer... these are "dinner shoes" ladies. Regardless, I love them and when a woman with purpose walks in heels she is a force to be reckoned with. I added this fun and playful KARA ROSS NY paradise sunny clutch from the Resort collection available exclusively at the KR Flagship (email for custom orders). Last but not least, no outfit is ever complete without the jewels + diamonds.

I have had some great summer fun in the hamptons the past few weekends. I really love the vibe and atmosphere away from the craziness of the city. Fashion in Southhampton is like watching an episode of Revenge, meaning you better bring your A game. Also, you can never go wrong with anything by classic American designer Ralph L.

VIEW FROM INSIDE #BELLANYC White Party

BELLA NYC MAG Annual White Party, Hosted by Lisa Vanderpump
Location: Capri, Southampton | August 8, 2015

WHAT I'M WEARING
White Grecian Dress: Lanvin | Sandals: Michael Kors | Handbag/Jewelry: KARA ROSS NY

All year long us fashioninstas LIVE for the perfect white party to come along and sweep us off our feet. Fancy guests, gorg gowns, cocktails with a twist and beautiful people pouring out of every direction. (Am I right or what?!) BELLA NYC MAG nailed it! The definition of glamour and class, with a touch of trendy fashion edge.  It's times like this when the city slickers flock to the Hampton's to #SeeANDbeBeen.

On Saturday, August 8th most of Manhattan and Beverly Hills came together @ Capri to celebrate the Summer in style with Mrs. Vanderpump herself. The lovely cast of the RHOBH and BRAVO TV were on set to tape this special evening of style and sophistication. Picture a room filled with all white elegance, sipping an Arizona Tea Arnold Palmer (with a kick of course) poolside, and hanging with my fav blogger babes + industry peeps. It was such a special night to remember!

I really did love the space/venue for the party. It was perfect, and set up like a 360 pop-up so you had plenty of room to walk around and mingle. There were beautiful seating areas and a special VIP section by the pool. I was obessed with the #SELFIECOOKIES, LVP Sangria, and La Croix drinks.

First of all, let's talk fashion (DUH!). I give credit where it's due, always. I loved Lisa Vanderpump's strapless floor length white gown and over-the-top hat. Lisa knows how to enter a room and make a statement, even Giggy was dressed to impress. BELLA MAG Editor-in-Chief Courtney Hall wore a gorg floor length crystal and sheer V gown. I opted for floor length as well, because why not?! Where else can I float around in a white Lanvin dress and get away with it? Some other hot trends were the 2 piece set done RIGHT by my blogger babes Tiffany D of "Love, Grey Skies" and Martha L of "MdollNYC".   I loved seeing lots of lace and beading details, pops of color on handbags and accessories were a nice surprise as well. I am never a fan of pants or shorts for a night event, but I did spot a few killer rompers that passed my fashion faux pas.

I know you want a little gossip (wish I could add in the slick face emoji here).
The night was pretty seamless, no major drama or cat fights on the horizons. My biggest worry was the tipsiest person might fall into the pool! The housewives sat down together and filmed in a private section poolside. This group included: Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle Richards, Ken Todd, Lisa Rinna, and Eileen Davidson.  Jill Zarin (love her to pieces) did pop in half way through the party with her daughter, but they were not wearing white and were not filming with the crew. (that's all I can say)

Other note-worthy guests included: countess LuAnn DeLesseps & Dorinda Medley  (RHONY), Liza Sandler (BRAVO's Secretes & Wives) , Ten Travis (Actor, Producer of Scandal), Jill Nicolini (CBS News), Ramy Brook Sharp (Fashion Designer), Alison Niederauer (Autism Speaks)... and many socialites.

It was a FAB night that I wish happened more then just once a year. I want to tip my hat to one of my best friends and fashion colleagues Daily Fashionista, the Features Editor for BELLA NYC MAG who did such a fab job. Sometimes we forget how much planning and preparation goes into one night. The entire BELLA team did a wonderful job and I can't wait to see what they have up their sleeve next ;)

STAY TUNED

Heat Wave Under the High Line

WHAT I'M WEARING:
Dress: Shabby Apple | Jewelry: Kara Ross | Shoes: Manolo Blahnik | Handbag: LV | Sunnies: Versace

New York City & I have a love hate relationship going on this Summer. I have been feeling the heat lately and can not wear anything but a dress because of the humidity and stickiness in the air. People expect me to look, it's part of my job. When you work in the fashion industry you have no choice but to wake up and get it together everyday. SHOW UP, DRESS UP, AND NEVER GIVE UP is the motto some of us gals live by!

I love dressing in color, I am not the typical New Yorker who lives in breathes in black clothes. Color makes me feel good. It adds some LIFE to my look, and sometimes even puts some extra smiles on people's faces. I love to be the most colorful person in a room (in more ways then one). I am spilling my new found style secret shopping site, Shabby Apple. They have a 1950's esq vibe with some fab fit and flare dresses in colorful choices. I am in love with everything, my new go-to spot for work/event dresses. They even have some great everyday styles for your Summer wardrobe.

I accessorized by adding in some colorful yellow Manolos, KR jewels, and a classic speedy bag. As I always say, my style changes from day to day. I can never be pegged down to one specific category. Lately, I have been loving the fit and flare dress and a little cap sleeve doesn't hurt. Beat the heat with some stylish dresses and put your pants in the bottom drawer!

Lastly,  I'm leaving you this week with some words of wisdom that I am learning day by day. Life is really about staying positive and manifesting your dreams. You have to take action and gravitate yourself to something that sets your soul on fire. Never settle, never let people bring you down, and always stay true to yourself. If amazing things were easy to reach, everyone would have them.

"What you hope, you will eventually believe. What you believe you will eventually know. What you know, you will eventually create. What you create, you will eventually experience. What you experience, you will eventually express. What you express, you will eventually become. This is the formula for all of life."
