This Friday I attended the Global Connections for Women Foundation’s Entrepreneurship Ball at the Harvard Club in NYC. The GC4W Entrepreneurship Ball is a gathering to celebrate & recognize the accomplishments of female entrepreneurs & angel investors. It was a night of empowerment, glamour, and support. The room was filled with some of the top industry leaders whom I have admired for years including: Rebecca Minkoff, Heather Hartnett, Alison Wyatt, Bonita Thompson and Sutian Dong.

The Global Connections for Women Foundation (GC4W) is a non-profit organization that believes in all women and girls – and their right to create new opportunities for themselves and their communities. The Global Connections for Women Foundation is the recipient of  Best of Manhattan Charity Organization (New York, USA) for three consecutive years, 2015-2017. They have a reach of over 3.5 million people worldwide. They are one of the leading international non-profits of the millennium in the areas of gender equality, women empowerment, and youth empowerment. Inspired by the real-life examples and ongoing global commitment, women, and girls in underserved communities around the world will be encouraged to find their voice and equipped with the resources they need to feel connected, educated and empowered.

I have to give a major shoutout to Lilian Ajayi-Ore (Founder of GC4W) and Co-Chair Summer Y.L. (Founder of Nuwa Marketing) for organizing such an incredible event. When we all come together and think of what’s possible, we make a world of a difference and meaning. This night sparked a new fire in my soul, my reason for working so hard, and commitment to helping empower and inspire women.
