Sugar Factory Sweetness

This drink was AMAZE- check out the full video on my insta @JaclynnBrennan

Casually candy sword fighting with fellow blogger babe

This was our ice-cream Sunday desert… UNREAL!

The hostess with the mostess! What a fun night out xo

I recently visited the Sugar Factory in NY's Meat Packing District for a ladies night out blogger babe dinner hosted by the fabulous Daily Fashionista Dana. I previously heard a lot about this restaurant wildly known for it's "fishbowl style" drinks filled with crazy candies, outrageous desserts, and club-like atmoshpere perfect for a fun gathering or Bday celebration. I loved how each drink actually steamed with smoke when poured in front of you! I literally felt like a "big kid" in a candy store. I also found it so fun when the dessert was brought out with sparklers and 5 servers, almost like a "bottle" at a nightclub! (except this one is filled with ice-cream and plenty of candy on top).  The Sugar Factory was a fab night out and I highly recommend all of my fashionistas to check it out for your next LNO!

Be sure to make a ressy in advance, this place gets packed! It's also celeb studded, you never know who you might run into while your there.

Sheer Back Bliss

Pants: Ashley Stewart | Top: UMGEE USA | Scarf: Old Navy | Boots: Sam Edelman
Handbag: FURLA | Sunnies & Jewelry: Freida Rothman

First things first- TGIF PEOPLE!

It's a spring fling kinda thing… well kind of. New York has still been bitterly cold and rainy the last few days, but you know what?! Sometimes you just have to create your own sunshine. I've decided to put away the dark colors (most of my black wardrobe), and bring some pops of color into the closet.  I really do ADORE this UMGEE USA cobalt blue structured high low top with a semi sheer back panel. For all of my retailers listening in, this is a fab edition to your boutique! The code for this piece is WA9805, very wearable for shoppers with all body types, and extremely flattering to the figure.

I am also wearing my new obsession legging/pants by Ashley Stewart. I probably wear these about twice a week, don't judge me! I love them because they can be dressed up or down, worn to work or for cocktails with a pair of pumps. They also look wonderful with a cropped blazer, wash easily and aren't going to break the bank. (Score!)

I accessorized my look with this super spring printed scarf I received at the Old Navy Summer 2015 preview a few weeks ago.  I have good news for you- it's now available online and in select stores!!

My look def wouldn't be complete without some stunning jewelry by Freida Rothman (duh) featuring flat cut mother of pearl slices, mixed metal bangles, and pave earrings. Not to mention the classic "Margaux" sunglasses, available at the FR Flagship located at 248 Mott St in Nolita. I finished the look with these Sam Edelman gray suede spiked ankle booties (my new go-tos), and my precious mellow yellow FURLA mini satchel.

Before the weekend officially starts, I want to give everyone some words of encouragement and positive vibes. It's been a tough week for me, I always have a million things going on that I don't particularly share (health/family/love/life/work), but I wake up everyday and try to maintain a smile and keep it moving. I believe in good karma, positive energy, and always tying to be the best version of yourself.  BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, have faith, never settle for anything less than you deserve.

"The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential... these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence." - Confucius

Until next time my loves, have a wonderful weekend! Feeling stuck, need some fashion tips, someone to reach out to? Email me BlazersandBellinis@gmail.com #SUPPORTEACHOTHER

#IAMASHLEY Spring Styling Challenge

First of all… really New York? The fist "official" day of Spring 2015 with a blizzard?! I decided not to let a little snow ruin my day (or my outfit).  I am so excited to chat about the #IAMASHLEY Spring Styling Challenge for Ashley Stewart. The brand has reached out to a few of the top "curvy" +sized bloggers in the industry to pick an outfit from their collection and style it with CONFIDENCE & creativity to show your curves.  I chose this sizzlin black and white 3 quarter sleeve faux wrap dress. I also love to wear black and white, it never goes out of style! I paired this dress with black platform pumps, gold/enamel jewelry from Freida Rothman, and bright red lips by Revlon. I chose very minimal eye and face makeup to focus on the red lips. I feel extremely confident, sexy and powerful in this dress. I am a woman, not a barbie or a runway model. I always honor my curves.
Would you wear this dress and rock the look?

Here is the full scoop on the #IAMASHLEY Spring Style Challenge:

What makes the perfect Ashley Stewart woman?  She is bold, stylish, brave, adventurous, and powerful. She lives by her own rules, loves her curves, and looks impeccable doing so.  That’s why PLUS Model Magazine (PMM), the #1 plus size fashion and beauty magazine/blog, has partnered with leading plus size global fashion brand Ashley Stewart for its Woman of Style photo spread featuring Top Plus Bloggers, who are all doing it their way. Five bloggers were invited to participate in a #IAMASHLEY styling challenge, each chosen for her sense of style, confidence, and long-time love of the Ashley Stewart brand.  Each blogger was then able to select any Ashley Stewart outfit, put her own unique twist on it, participate in a NYC photoshoot, and show off her take on curvy spring fashion must-haves in an editorial spread in PLUS Model Magazine’s March 2015 issue.
“I have always referred to Ashley Stewart as ‘The People’s Brand,’ their passion for the plus-sized woman has always been clear. Now seeing them come into their own is a true delight and I’m excited for PMM to partner with a leading brand that is not afraid to show some curves,” says Plus Model Magazine editor-in-chief Madeline Jones.

“Over the past twenty-four years, Ashley Stewart forged lasting, personal relationships with its customers in neighborhood shops across the country.  Recent innovations in digital have allowed us and her loyal followers to introduce her to friends in new neighborhoods and new countries heretofore unimaginable. Despite this, our goal is to stay true to our mission of getting to know each and every one of our customers on an individual level.  We hope you enjoy the individualism of each of these trend-setting women as much as we do,” says Executive Chairman and CEO James Rhee.
The following bloggers showcased their curves and voluptuous personalities in the March issue of PLUS Model Magazine:

Allie has been an Ashley Stewart fan since she was a teenager. In fact, her very first major modeling campaign was with the brand, so it holds a special spot in her heart.
Fashion Tip: “Play with it, make it your own. Taking the sexy aspect and giving it an edge, don’t be so serious.”

Jezra MatthewsModel and Bloggerjezram.com
Jezra first fell in love with Ashley Stewart on Valentine’s Day. “I saw a beautiful red blazer,” she recalls, “I went in to try it on and it fit my body perfectly. It just complimented me so well.” She’s been in love with the brand ever since.
Tip: “Be Fun. Be Comfortable. Be You!”

Essie GoldenBlogger – EssieGolden.com
There weren’t a lot of choices for plus-sized women in Orlando, but Essie was determined to find great outfits (especially for church) – Ashley Stewart spoke to her and she’s been a fan ever since.
Tip: “Edge it up! Wear high heels, or even sneakers!”

Kelly AugustineBloggerkellyaugustine.com
“I always shopped along 125th street in Manhattan and happened to walk by,” recalls Kelly, “I saw a leather skirt in the window and that was it! I kept going back and buying more and more.”
Tip: “Use only one piece as your drama piece. Let it have its moment!”

Chante Burkett, Bloggereverythingcurvyandchic.com
Chante discovered Ashley Stewart three years ago in a local mall after moving to the tri-state area, and has since developed quite the love affair with Ashley Stewart jeans.
Tip: “Always have proper undergarments and always think about where you are going so you can wear the proper shoes!”

Leather Jacket: Zara | Vest: Calvin Klein | Cheetah Jogger Pants: SWELL |  Booties: ASKA Collection
Beanie/Clutch/Gloves Gloves: ASOS | Sunnies: Freida Rothman "Serenas" (248 Mott Street, NY)

My style really does change from day to day, I can not be categorized into one specific area. Some days I like to be conservative in a tailored blazer and neutral tones, other days I like to wear beanie hats with leather, wild prints and bright color. I am all about taking risks in my wardrobe, I hate anything ordinary or "typical". I have a multidimensional personality- not just one sided. I like surprising people with my choices in wardrobe. Just when you think you have me figured out, I switch it up.  This look is about embracing your "WILDSTYLE" and creativity, with the perfect background scene of some super sweet street artwork. Getting outside of the box and wearing something different.

"I think fitting in is highly overrated. I’d rather just fit out... Fitting out means being who you are, even when people insist that you have to change. Fitting out means taking up space, not apologizing for yourself, and not agreeing with those who seek to label you with stereotypes."

Cold Shoulder #Miami

Dress: UMGEE USA | Sandals: Franco Sarto | Headband: Olivia Nelson | Earrings: Wren & Glory
Rings/Bracelets/Sunnies: Freida Rothman

I spent a long weekend in Miami and just returned home yesterday, as you can imagine I am seriously missing the sunshine/palm tress/summer attire (and of course my bf, but that's another story).  I was so excited to wear this casually cool off-the-shoulders printed sundress by UMGEE USA. It is lightweight, comfortable, and has that sexy edge with exposed shoulders.  I love the color palette of the piece, mixing neutrals with a touch of blue.  I accessorized with this delicate and feminine beaded headband by Olivia Nelson. I've been into putting my hair back lately off my face and it's the perfect tool.  These great summer sandals are by Franco Sarto, I'm kinda obsessed with this brand. They make the most COMFORTABLE and stylish shoes available in Nordstrom, Century 21, Piperlime and Zappos.com. I couldn't leave the house without my FR Sunnies! (duh) These are called the "Charlies" and will be available on FreidaRothman.com March 18th.

Someone take me back to Florida ASAP! #EscapingWinter
