My Fall '14 Hot List

Listen up ladies! Fall 2014 has arrived and it's time to celebrate the change of season in style.  A lot of women ask me for seasonal fashion advice and shopping tips, so I figured now is the time to coach you before your fall shopping spree. I have created a check list for you, these are serious NECESSITIES for your fall wardrobe,  if you don't have them then do yourself a favor and invest now. Every woman needs a good leather motto jacket,  long sleeved shift dress, a wide brim hat, pair of killer red booties, colorful scarf, aviators, purple lipstick, matte black nail polish, and of course a statement hoop. This goes for ANY shape or size, and I am going to give you plenty of options for pricing to fit within your shopping budget. (yes, yes… you can thank me later). I always tell my fellow fashionistas, check your current closet first! You will be surprised to see how much of this you actually already have. It's all about reinventing & reworking your current pieces with some finishing accents.  After you checked your closet and you know exactly what you need, get your credit card and laptop ready for a serious online shopping sesh! (one of my guilty pleasures)

Get your check list ready and go for it! Tag me on insta or twitter with your fav Fall looks #BlazersandBellinisGoesFall

Black & Blue

Kimono: Cushie B | Dress & Booties by Forever 21 | Handbag: Betsey Johnson
Sunnies: Jimmy Swagg | Necklaces/Bangles/Rings: Freida Rothman | Cuff: Kara Ross NYC

I don't always like to be so "matchy matchy", sometimes I like to break the rules a little. One of my favorite trends for Fall 14 is black and blue. Going against the rules and combining some killer navy and black pieces is going to be a fall must-do for me. I LOVE LOVE this metallic blue & navy kimono by Cushie B. It is so comfy and a great transition piece for your wardrobe. You can wear it with a casual look, or throw it over a dress for an evening event. This black leather skater dress is a closet staple of mine I have been wearing for quite some time now, everyone needs to invest in a great leather/pleather number. I am still having a ton of fun with these LuLu DK Lifestyle tats, I really get a kick of out them and mixing the collections together! This style is from the "Blue Lagoon"set. My "Sophista Kata" sunnies are by Jimmy Swagg (most recently worn by rapper Rick Ross in his new video). I chose to pair the look with this great Betsey Johnson black leather and gold studded hobo because I really do love her! She is such a fun and inspiring designer, her bags are extremely reasonably priced and still on-trend. The black cuff is by Kara Ross NYC and bangles/necklaces/rings are by Freida Rothman.

1 Year Bloggerversary! Gothic Glam

Dress: ASOS Curve Maxi with Bell Sleeve | Bandage Wedges: Rampage | Jewelry: Freida Rothman

In honor of my one year Blazers & Bellinis "bloggerversary" I wanted to recycle this FABULOUS ASOS Curve dress I wore to my official blog launch event last September. It has a gothic glam vibe with the long bell sleeves and cut, but it's still extremely glamourous and chic. Figure I'm channeling my inner Morticia haha. This look might not be for everyone, but I think fashion doesn't always be to be so bright and bubbly, there is also something to be said about a sexy dark side. My style is always evolving and turning through phases depending on how I am feeling and what's happening in my life.  The change of seasons also plays a huge role on my wardrobe, and this perfect September breeze gets me excited for those winter darks//leathers/blacks/long sleeves. I paired the look with these bandage wedges from Rampage footwear and a stunning black enamel + gold Freida Rothman bangle stack.

I really can't believe it's been 1 year since I started my blog. Blazers & Bellinis was created as a hobby an outlet for my writing, also to express my personal style. It has turned into so much more then just a hobby, it's part of my lifestyle. I really want to thank all of my supporters and readers, you guys keep me motivated and inspired! I've had so many wonderful opportunities this year and got to work with such fab talent its been kind of surreal. Time flies when your having fun! A very special thanks to my blog mentor and great friend Naty Michele of A Love Affair With Fashion for her encouragement and guidance in helping me start Blazers & Bellinis + all of the bloggers I have worked with in my career who gave me the extra push to start my own.

I hope I can continue to inspire other woman and help spread the message that it does not matter what shape/race/size or income you have style is within you! Confidence is key! Here is to the next few years, I am truly looking forward to this journey.

All About That Base, Bout That Base, No Treble

Dress & Blazer: Forever 21 + | Shoes & Clutch: AOSOS
Jewels: Freida Rothman | Hair by: A La Mode Salon
Nails by Rose

The weather is FINALLY getting a bit cooler and believe me, I am so excited to bring out the blazers! This past Sunday I went to a broadway play (50 shades of grey, yes hilariously raunchy and amazing) and this was my daytime city look.  I am obsessed with this sleeveless high neck cut-out printed skater dress from Forever 21 +, I own it in a few different color ways and I always get a ton of compliments on it.  The white blazer with black leather trim is one of my wardrobe essentials and closet staples. This look is all about the curves and angles. I can't help but think of that song All About That Base… I'm bringing booty back. I think it has such a positive message to embrace yourself. I paired the look with these fun ASOS "Solar System" heels and black/white 2 tone clutch. I always wear a ton of Freida Rothman rings (mixing and matching my stacks) and of course some chunky mixed metal bangles.  The overall look kind of has a 60s vibes, which I've been really into lately.  I decided to go brighter red with short bangs for the fall season, my hair is by the amazing talent at A La Mode Salon in Brooklyn. (I highly recommend) And last but not least, a special thanks to my fab hometown manicurist Rose who kills all my crazy designs, she is sooooo good!

I am wearing the ASOS CURVE Exclusive Swing Dress in Pastel Check available here
Heels: Franco Sarto | Jewelry AND HANDBAG ;) Freida Rothman (dropping hints here)

BELLA MAG NYC really knows how to throw a good party! This past Monday (September 8th) the Bella Beauties threw an amazing event and cool concept soiree for NYFW, a sunset cruise. Now you are probably thinking ok… maybe a yacht or water-taxi esq. boat drove us around the harbor NOPE correction, I am talking about a legit real-deal sailboat! Did I mention equipped with a full bar and fabulous hors d'oeuvres? We chatted fashion, Lincoln Center runway shows and editorial content for the next issue with a view of the Statue of Liberty and NYC skyline to the left.  It was a wonderful evening, thank you for having us! A very special thank you to BELLA MAG's Dana Prigge xo
