USEPPA Island #Wanderlust

Location: Useppa Island | Photographer: Seef 7

Cold Shoulder Maxi Dress: ASOS | Jewelry: Kara Ross Heritage & Diamonds Unleashed

Useppa Island is one of those magical places you dream about with so much history behind it. There are NO cars, no traffic lights, just pure luxury and relaxation. (yes there is wifi #duh) Everyone on the island actually rides around in golf carts on beautiful winding sand trails. It's located near the northern end of Pine Island Sound in Southwest Florida. Since the 19th century this Island has been known for luxury resorts, and is now home of the private Useppa Island Club, also a US historic site. Useppa was first inhabited by the Paleo people, then became a fishing ranch for Cubans, and eventually served as a training facility for the CIA in 1960 (during the Bay of Pigs). Since then, it's been an exclusive members only island known for sport fishing, sailing and croquet.

Everyone on Useppa is part of this tight-knit community. The energy is extremely peaceful and low key. Children running on the beach, families soaking in the sun and club members doing cocktails at sunset. The only way to describe it is "Delightfully Posh", and was rated by Conde' Nast Traveler as one of the top 25 true island retreats in the world.

Needless to say, I will definitely be back.

Sweet As Sugar: Oasis Day Spa NYC

Oasis Day Spa, 1 Park Ave | Ph: (212) 254-7722

I don't know about you, but a long holiday weekend SCREAMS a little spa & "girl time". I had the pleasure of visiting Oasis Day Spa NYC this Sunday with my blogger babe Daily Fashionista, located on Park Ave. It was my first time at this spa, conveniently nestled in Midtown Manhattan. I am no stranger to the spa, enjoying monthly facials and massages to refresh and de-stress. There is no shame in taking care of yourself ladies.

This time I opted for the body scrub, and honestly had no idea what to expect. The best way for me to describe it is an amazing full body massage + exfoliation + shower all wrapped in one. My treatment was called the Hunny Bunny Vanilla Body Scrub. It combined honey, raw sugar, and warm oil to exfoliate and hydrate the skin. I recently had a lot of sun over the holidays and noticed dryness and some peeling. I was curious to try the scrub to see if it actually works, and would make my skin smoother and brighter.

MYTH: Body scrubs hurt
If your scrub is done right by a licensed professional it should not hurt. The exfoliation was extremely gentle and felt like a massage, meaning painless and very relaxing.

FACT: Expect to get wet
Do not get a blow out and come with full makeup on for this service. You will get wet, your hair will get wet (even with a shower cap), and your makeup will be off.

After the treatment my skin felt FABULOUS and smelt like Vanilla. The peeling was gone, my color looked even, and the dryness disappeared. I think a body scrub is a MUST-TRY winter treat for your skin. Feeling afraid because it is your first time? Go to Oasis Day Spa NYC and request *Erika* for your scrub.

After the amazing scrub I headed into Breathe's Salt Room. Dry salt therapy is a natural holistic way to detoxify lungs and skin to promote better breathing, sounder sleeping and overall wellness. It can even improve the symptoms of allergies, asthma, snoring and sleep apnea... WHO KNEW?!

Overall my experience at the spa was fantastic and I can't wait to go back!

Off Shore

Location: Punta Gorda, Photographer: Seef 7

I can still smell the ocean air and warm breeze. The voice of  the sea speaks to the soul. The water is my happy place, I feel this sense of calmness and everything gets put back into perspective.

This week I am completely channeling warmer weather and reminiscing a memorable holiday trip. I love wearing white all year round, especially when you are traveling often. Forget the rules, winter white is something to live by. I collaborated with my friends at Ashley Stewart to create this winter white beachy-chic look. I really love the gold foil filigree pattern and cold shoulder detail. As you can see this dress is perfect with sandals for daytime, and can be easily transitioned for night. This style makes for the perfect travel piece, it's 100% wrinkle resistant and won't look a mess after coming out of your suitcase. #MadEfficient

Stay tuned for more of my holiday adventures, I'll be reliving all of my favorite moments on le blog.

All Dressed Up #HolidayStyle

Location: Lake Buenavista, FL | Photographer: NeNe

I love the holidays, especially getting dressed for them. There's nothing like going shopping for that perfect holiday look, something you look forward to wearing and gives you the confidence to feel extra special. This LBD (Little Black Dress) is from Voodoo Vixen, the perfect mix of black satin with a sheer touch. I love the bow in the center, and sexy keyhole that shows the just the right amount of skin. Fit and flares are always flattering for any pear-shaped body types. I got to spend the holidays in the warm weather this year, so tights were not needed! (score)

Another year older, and another year wiser... 27 never looked so good! I had an amazing week celebrating my birthday & the Christmas holiday with my family. It felt amazing to take some time off to relax and recharge for the New Year. This past year has been the best of my life. I took some really big risks, decided to put a lot of effort into taking better care of my health, and persued my dreams fearlessly.

At some point in the year I had a lot of realizations about myself. I found who I wanted to be without compromising my spirit or true sense of self. I got to surround myself with SO MANY amazing leaders and role models, influencers who I have looked up to my whole life. These experiences and lessons have been completely invaluable. I worked my ass off, threw myself 150% into my goals and I got to enjoy the holidays with the people that mean the most to me. Overall it has been one hell of a year and I wouldn't change a thing.

Here are my top tips for a happy & prosperous 2016:

Create a gratitude journal that you can write in everyday or at least once a week. Be grateful for anything that is positive and good in your life. Reflect on people, place, experiences... anything that brings you joy. Having an understanding of gratitude will help your future and present.

I am ALL about the laws of attraction and manifesting your own destiny. Write down everything you want to accomplish this year and believe in yourself. Put it down on paper and start to envision it. You will start to see every detail and the steps you need to take to get there. Once you truly believe and work towards it, you will be amazed at the outcome.

I know this seems stupid simple and obvious, but then why don't we do more things that make us happy? Read that book, watch a movie, take time to relax and recharge. Save up for that trip you have been yearning for, and spend time with people that bring pure happiness to your life. You have to make time for yourself and the things you love.

I was lucky to lear this early in life & I give full credit to my mom. I started my first vision board at 11 and have been making them ever since. I have a personal vision board that I add to and switch out every month, and a professional board that is purely inspirations. Get a stack of magazines, pictures and memories that you hold dear to your heart and create away. Words. sayings, places, things that inspire you. These boards are extremely powerful, this is a big tool in manifestation. Put your board in place where you can see it everyday.

This is going to be an incredible year, buckle up because I have a lot of adventures coming your way. Happy New Year Dolls!
