Boho Easter

I am such a sucker for the holidays! Any chance I get to spend time with my family, dress up, and eat good food is a my idea of the perfect Sunday afternoon. True Easter style can be defined with light pastels in shades of pink, purple, and yellow. I always think of the classic dress or skirt, florals and lace.  I remember my mom taking me shopping every year for the perfect Easter getup with shoes and a handbag to match.

This year I stepped out of the norm and went with a casual bohemian neon pink dress and long tribal print shawl. I wore black leggings under the dress, even though it was a beautiful day the wind and breeze was still a factor. I paired the look with these nude lace up cut-out wedges, gold rimmed aviator sunnies, and jewelry by Freida Rothman. The pastel blue leather tote is by Aimee Kestenberg, which has become one of my fav everyday handbags.

I hope everyone had an amazing Easter with the fam! I am officially in a food coma until tomorrow.

Power Trip

For the first time in 7 months I took my favorite white blazer out for a spin. This blazer is from Forever 21 and I brought it 2 years ago in every color it came out in! haha. I am still transitioning my closet and reinventing some looks for the new season. My 3 work essential wardrobe staples are; 1. a white blazer. 2. high wasted pencil skirt, 3. basic black pumps. The sexiest outfit a woman can wear is a power suit (besides a ton of confidence).  It doesn't matter what office or industry you work in, I think when you dress the part you feel the part.  You do not have to show a ton of skin to show off some sex appeal, embrace your curves and flatter/highlight your best assets.

I also believe in mix and matching. We are not in the 80's anymore where the two piece suit dominated the workforce (especially the shoulder pads). It just so happened my look was a white and black match, but feel free to take some risks and mix your skirts/blazers.  All of the black & white enamel jewelry is from Freida Rothman's "Clair" Metropolitan Collection. This look can easily transition from day to night, office or happy hour. Now is the perfect time to pick up a white blazer and make the investment. It's usually a hit or miss but I have seen some amazing new styles and deals over the past 2 weeks for this piece.

What makes you feel sexy?

Enjoy The Little Things

I've realized in life we take a lot for granted… certain people, talents, things that come natural to us,  health, even freedom.  Sometimes we need to slow it down and appreciate all of the little things, life's daily reminders that we might overlook otherwise.  Everyone has a unique story to tell, it's not always so glamours and perfect, but our imperfections make us human. These past two days spent home have been filled with those little moments. I am so appreciative for all of the good things in my life, the people that have been there to support me, and for my own instincts/self intuition. I can't help but smile in a room full of sunshine on a beautiful day.

I added in some light pastel accents to get into spring mode. The mint & gold statement necklace and pastel cuff are by Child of Royals.  My nude 3 quarter sleeve light weight sweater is by UGMEE USA, I love these piece because it goes with just about anything. This tribal print tank top and high waisted skater skirt are from Forever 21. Last but not least, the caged blue studded stilettos are Moschino.

Stress Free #LetLoose2014

In honor of April's National Stress Awareness Month I have been asked to join's #LetLoose campaign. We all get so caught up in our daily lives and work routine that sometimes we forget to let it all go and have a little fun. I mean… we work so hard during the week that weekends seem like a natural right to live it up! (right?) Las Vegas is notoriously known for being the best place in the country to let it all go and get a little wild. Unfortunately, not all of us can get to Vegas on a Monthly basis to relieve our stress! Lucky for me, I will be headed to sin city Memorial Day weekend for a lot of work (JCK Tradeshow) and a little bit of pleasure. Work hard play hard is the motto.

I am a compulsive planner, cant help it, it's just the internal event coordinator inside of me. In other words, I have already started to plan exactly how I will "let loose" in Vegas. I will be "miss fitting" right in at the Cosmopolitan Hotel… just the right amount of wrong.  The luxury hotel is located on the Las Vegas strip, and is known for being one of the trendiest spots on the block.  While I am staying at the Cosmopolitan, I'll def be dancing the night away over the weekend at Marquee Nightclub. My favorite way to let loose is to get down to some good music and EDM beats (must be the Jersey girl inside of me).

What is the best way to nurse your hangover after a long night? Brunch! Duh… and of course a bellini to ease the pain. I will be hitting the Bacchanal Brunch at Caesars Palace, awarded by USA Today, Las Vegas Review and Las Vegas Weekly.  This is going to be a trip to remember!
(also a successful one)

My trip to Vegas is still a month away, and I have been stressing out about life's little details lately, so I took it upon myself to officially let loose this weekend. My very favorite stress relievers are my friends. What better way to forget your worries then to spend the weekend with your girlfriends laughing and smiling! I am still new to Brooklyn, so we did a little exploring and got into some fun adventures around the neighborhood.  We woke up laughing and joking/going over the details of the night, followed by Sunday brunch. All-in-all it was a weekend of "letting loose". This little clip sums it all up.

What are your plans to #letloose this month?
