Neon Trimmed Hooded Jacket

Jacket: UMGEE USA | Dress: ASOS | Tights: ASSETS by Sara Blakely | Gloves: Calvin Klein
 Jewelry & Sunglasses: Freida Rothman

The weather here in New York has been having some major mood swings over the past few days. First it's freezing, then it's warm, and now tomorrow it's suppose to be the first snowstorm of the season. (YIKES!) All of these weather changes mean lots of light weight layers for my wardrobe. This orange neon trimmed cargo jacket is by UMGEE USA. I love it because of the hood, and the fact that it's so lightweight. I've been pairing it with dresses, skirts, and leggings … it pretty much works with any look in my closet. This printed swing dress is by ASOS and is currently on sale ladies! (Did I mentioned it's really forgiving in all the right places?) I wore plain black tights under my dress which are Assets by Sara Blakely, I SWEAR BY THESE TIGHTS.  They don't snag easily, there warm, they have a great COMFORTABLE control top, the only catch is they don't come cheap (but well worth it). I think I own about 15 pairs of them lol I completed this casual eclectic look with black and gold booties, tan gloves, a navy knit beanie, tortoise sunnies, and a rabbit fur trimmed handbag. (sorry PETA)

There are some REALLY sunny days coming (aka peace out NY hello Miami) so stay tuned!

Sophisticated Sportswear

TALK NERDY TO ME iphone Case by Mobile Togs

LA Beanie Hat: Charlotte Russe | Champion Printed Leggings: Target | Jewelry: Freida Rothman
Skater Slip Sneakers: Sam Edelman

One thing I always admired about West Coast style, is their ability to rock casual sportswear when not working out and still look effortlessly cool. I am pretty much always dressed up Monday-Friday, so on Saturdays & Sundays if I'm just hanging around my neighborhood in BK, I keep it really casual.  I've mentioned the brand Cushie B a few times on my blog, but I really want you guys to know how much I truly love the line. Simple, classic, and well made styles with the perfect fit. Sometimes it's worth investing in the black cardigan that is going to last all season, instead of buying 3 of them from Forever 21 (you know what I mean?) Cushie B's quality in their knitwear is really hard to find.  Also, I kind of have a thing for awesome phone cases, I like to change it up depending on what I'm wearing.  I consider my phone case part of my outfit, it's an accessory to your look. This particular designer case by Mobile Togs, says "Talk Nerdy to Me" on the back with a full mirror and bottom slip for my credit or metro card. (functional and cute) I completed the look with blue printed champion leggings from Target, Sam Edelman skater slip sneakers, a white 90's style beanie hat, and of course jewelry from Freida Rothman.

What's your Saturday style like?

Haute Holiday Looks

I seriously can't believe how time flies. It's already the end of November, Thanksgiving is next week and Christmas is right around the corner.  That can only mean 1 thing, HOLIDAY PARTIES! (a whole bunch of them. So brace yourself, and get it together girl!) Seriously, you need to stop wearing that same basic dress you wear every year, and invest in some classic holiday looks for your closet. If you are a little bit more daring, and willing to go on the trendier side I have something for you too! I am basing this off of pure experience (and desperation) because over the next few weeks almost every night I have a holiday party, birthday party, fashion event, work function, wedding, concerts… and the list goes on and on.  I hate leaving things for the last minute, when it comes to my wardrobe/personal style I am a compulsive planner (yes I am already planning my Birthday outfit now lol). Call me crazy, but I would rather know I am putting my best food forward, looking my best at these events, and serving up a plate of killer confidence so bam take that! Rule #1: you can NEVER be overdressed.

For those of you who HATE shopping, like my own sister, (totally don't even know how we are related) I am talking to you. I literally am doing all the work for you guys, scouting out the best outfits and the best deals. You can avoid the mall, the crazy holiday rush, and long lines. Just click through to each website mentioned and get your shop on.  As requested by a few readers, I am even taking care of all body shapes and sizes. My skinny bitches to my bad ass curvy gals I gotchu! Here goes nothing…

Hope this was helpful to everyone! I have some serious style posts coming this week stay tuned xo

Fall'14 Obsession: The White Coat #Trending

Geometric Printed Dress: ASOS | Vest: Target | Booties: Michael Kors | Rings: Freida Rothman

The most important piece of clothing in your wardrobe for Fall & Winter is a great coat. Not only does a fab outwear piece keep you warm, but it makes a major fashion statement and impression on your style. You can't leave the house on a brisk day without a nice warm coat right? So why not make it stylish and feel good about the change of seasons. I know this might sound cheesy, but growing up I always wanted a beautiful crisp white winter coat. I was never allowed to get one because of the fact that it will get ruined too quickly. I was told it gets dirty, it's not flattering, makes you look heavy, and now I say BULLSHIT to all of the above. Throughout the years as my style developed I always stayed away from white because of those thoughts in the back of my mind...until recently.
I love winter white, I think it's extremely chic and can be worn with just about anything. So I may have to take it to the dry cleaner a few more times then a black piece but so what?!

I will officially say that my #1 outwear trend for Fall 14 has to be a beautiful white coat with a big collar. I am OBSESSED with this particular one by Jessica Simpson from HeyGoregous.com. I saw the pieces in their Fall 14 campaign, and instantly fell in love. I was literally "craving" this coat. Hey Gorgeous is an online retailer catering to curvy women by bringing a great selection of trendy, stylish, and affordable options to the table. (Can I get an AMEN?) I love everything on the website, they have impeccable taste and some wonderful options for every occasion. HeyGoregous.com (based in Brooklyn woowoo!) has become one of my new online retail destinations. You have to check it out!

The Art of Brunch: Anthony David's, Hoboken

Anthony David's 953 Bloomfield, St Hoboken NJ | 201 222 8399

Sunday should always be a day of rest/relaxation and of course some really good food! I have been hearing some amazing things about Anthony David's in Hoboken, NJ and had to try it for myself.  Over the next few weeks the ELITE NYC crew & I are scouting the best brunches in NYC/NJ, and this was definitely Elite worthy.  Tucked away off the hustle and bustle of Washington Street, Anthony David's corner indoor/outdoor dining really had some charm. This gem on Bloomfield St. was so packed there was a line around the corner, BUT to our surprise the service was super fast and accommodating.  You can tell this is a Sunday local brunch destination. The menu was classic with a little twist, and I especially loved the remixed benedict selections.  Anthony David's is BYOB so if you want to booze it up at brunch bring the champagne and they will provide the OJ. I'm detoxing on the drinks & opted for a hot green tea with lemon and some honey. Since I am such a sucker for Eggs Benedict I tried the crab-cake version and they were literally OFF THE CHARTS.  My brunch partner had a classic burger with aged cheddar and fries which was also amazing. Did I mention that the restaurant serves an all day brunch 7 days a week? Score! You MUST try this place, two thumbs up.

…until next time

A Neiman Marcus Night With Daily Fashionista

What I'm Wearing
Floral Sheer Sleeve Dress: Forever 21 | # Beanie: ASOS | Pointy Toe Flats: Sam Edelman
Jewelry: Freida Rothman

Last night I attended a fun event in NJ at Neiman Marcus hosted by blogger babe, writer, and all around awesome fashionista Dana Prigge (who is also the founder of DailyFashionista.com & Features Editor for Bella NYC MAG).  Dana has worked within this industry for so many years, and started her career by working for PR power woman Lizzie Grubman. She has interviewed celebs, hosted dozens of events, and has written for the most impressive Magazines. Last night Dana spoke about blogging in the industry, and about making your brand stand out.  She shared some great insider secrets and tips for us "bloggers on the go". We chatted winter 2014 fashion trends, accessories, and beauty looks for the season.  It was a great night! Fittingly so, I got to spend it with one of my best friends/soul sister Drea (I love you girl!). What more can a girl ask for? Fashion & good friends, cheers to that!
