Mom Can't Make This: NORMAS BRUNCH
Norma's at the Le Parker Meridien, 119 W 56th Street NYC | Ph. 212 245 5000
Ok so here's the scoop, I recently teamed up with a new App that's launching, Elite Restaurants & I'm helping them scout the very best spots in NYC & NJ. This app is exclusively for high end diners, and fellow foodies to connect with the most elite restaurants locally (whatever city you may be in). As you know, Blazers & Bellinis is really BIG on brunch so naturally I decided to start visiting all of my favorite hot spots. My 1st stop… NORMA'S! Literally one of the very best brunches in Manhattan, located at the fabulous Le Parker Meridien hotel on 56th Street. Norma's has that uptown class with a cool casual vibe. Walking into the stunning lobby of white marble with magnificent columns will definitely put some pep in your Sunday step.
Something I should mention, you really should make a reservation for this brunch. It gets PACKED and if you don't feel like waiting I highly suggest you plan it ahead of time. (Click here to reserve your table). When you first sit down your waiter will start you with a "smoothie shot", which changes daily. It is sooooooo good and a great palette cleanser before your meal. Last Sunday they served a mango blueberry concoction which was to die for. The smoothie is immediately followed by a tall glass of fresh squeezed OJ (can I get a hell yes?!). Their clever menu is simply marvelous, taking all of your childhood breakfast favorites and remixing them with a culinary flare. My brunch partner had the seared rock lobster & asparagus omelet, and I opted for the breakfast dumplings stuffed with scrambled eggs/shrimp/mushroom, both plates were so good! As we were just saying how amazing the food was our lovely waiter (and restaurant manager) surprised us with this DEADLY chocolate decadence french toast covered in strawberries, pistachios, and valrhona chocolate sauce. (Boom, done, ova! Literally had to roll us out of there) Not only was the food fabulous, but the service is increadiable. Definitely elite worthy, two thumbs up for Norma's.
I have eaten here almost a dozen times and always wanted to feature Norma's on the blog so here it is! Some mouth watering content on your morning commute #SorryNotSorry Until next time…
