Sweet As Sugar: Oasis Day Spa NYC

Oasis Day Spa, 1 Park Ave | Ph: (212) 254-7722

I don't know about you, but a long holiday weekend SCREAMS a little spa & "girl time". I had the pleasure of visiting Oasis Day Spa NYC this Sunday with my blogger babe Daily Fashionista, located on Park Ave. It was my first time at this spa, conveniently nestled in Midtown Manhattan. I am no stranger to the spa, enjoying monthly facials and massages to refresh and de-stress. There is no shame in taking care of yourself ladies.

This time I opted for the body scrub, and honestly had no idea what to expect. The best way for me to describe it is an amazing full body massage + exfoliation + shower all wrapped in one. My treatment was called the Hunny Bunny Vanilla Body Scrub. It combined honey, raw sugar, and warm oil to exfoliate and hydrate the skin. I recently had a lot of sun over the holidays and noticed dryness and some peeling. I was curious to try the scrub to see if it actually works, and would make my skin smoother and brighter.

MYTH: Body scrubs hurt
If your scrub is done right by a licensed professional it should not hurt. The exfoliation was extremely gentle and felt like a massage, meaning painless and very relaxing.

FACT: Expect to get wet
Do not get a blow out and come with full makeup on for this service. You will get wet, your hair will get wet (even with a shower cap), and your makeup will be off.

After the treatment my skin felt FABULOUS and smelt like Vanilla. The peeling was gone, my color looked even, and the dryness disappeared. I think a body scrub is a MUST-TRY winter treat for your skin. Feeling afraid because it is your first time? Go to Oasis Day Spa NYC and request *Erika* for your scrub.

After the amazing scrub I headed into Breathe's Salt Room. Dry salt therapy is a natural holistic way to detoxify lungs and skin to promote better breathing, sounder sleeping and overall wellness. It can even improve the symptoms of allergies, asthma, snoring and sleep apnea... WHO KNEW?!

Overall my experience at the spa was fantastic and I can't wait to go back!
