Seeing in Stripes

Top: Umgee USA | Leggings: Forever 21 | Necklace: Diana Ho Designs | Shoes: Sam Edelman
Rings/Toggle Bracelet: Freida Rothman | Cuff: Pamela Love | Sunglasses: Jimmy Swagg

Every girl should have one fabulous basic/comfortable T-shirt in their wardrobe. That "go to" piece which works with any outfit and is easy to wear. This black & white striped T with an orange neon sleeve by UMGEE USA is my favorite go-to wardrobe staple. I styled it with basic black leggings and pointy toe flats for a casual office or brunch look. I've worn this shirt with leggings, a high waisted skirt, and capris so far… the options are endless.  The black arrow head necklace plated in 14k gold is by an amazing designer and friend of mine based in Los Angeles, Diana Ho. She has some really unique feminine pieces in her new collection definitely worth checking out.
(dying over her body chains for summer)

Animalistic Instincts

Dress: Pink Clubwear | Vest: UMGEE USA | Wedges: Rampage | Necklace: Child of Royals

Did I mention I lived in South Florida for a few years? Once and a while my Latin flare comes out in my wardrobe choices. I'm all about this animal printed side slit curve hugging halter dress by Pink Clubwear. The animal print is very bold, and it definitely brings a sense of sexy confidence to my outfit.  This look is perf for hitting the beach (totally wishing I was in Miami at the moment), a night out on the town, or setting sail on a weekend adventure. The nude fringe crochet vest has become a recent wardrobe staple, there are so many ways to incorporate this fun layering piece into your look. Lastly, I am one lucky ducky because by BFF hooks me up with some fab seasonal samples. These snakeskin embellished wedges by rampage are fierce and supper comfy.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Behind the Scenes Look: FR Holiday Shoot

Behind the Scenes Photo Credit: Molly Torian

One of the many fun parts of my job is producing and organizing seasonal lookbook/campaign shoots.  Working in fashion is not always as glamorous as it looks,  it's long ours LOTS of dedication and learning to grow a thick skin. It's extremely hectic, you have to learn how to be a master of multitasking, and a 24 hour solution finder.  Especially when you are working with a large team, if you keep your cool and create a positive environment, everyone else will also do the same.  The more shoots I have under my belt, the easier it gets, and the better the results.

Last Sunday we shot the Freida Rothman Holiday lookbook in Brooklyn at Freida's AH-mazing home. It's days like this that really put everything in perspective for me. I got to choose an out of this world team that literally made this day MAGIC.  Personally, the best part of shoots for me is seeing everything come together. You spend weeks planning, making sure every detail is perfect, finding the right crew/model, but actually watching it unfold in front of your eyes is priceless.

This was the 1st time I ever shot a "lookbook" in a house. Usually it is always in a studio space, but I
wanted people to see an inside look of Freida's life. Freida is a designer, wife, supper mom and mother of 4.  She is this ultra glamorous woman but she is also extremely humble and down to earth. I had to laugh because half way through the shoot Freida's in her kitchen preparing this fabulous gourmet lunch for the entire crew in her gown and heels lol she literally does it all!

A very special thank you to my "dream team" for responsible for this season's magic! I can not WAIT to release the book in September, everyone stay tuned!

Boho Beach Babe

Printed Kimno: UMGEE USA | Dress: ASOS Curve | Sandals: Charlotte Russe | Handbag: Remi & Reid | Cuff: Child of Royals | Necklaces/Rings: Freida Rothman | Floppy Hat: Forever 21

Salt in the air and sand in between my toes, there is no where else I'd rather be on a hot summer day than the beach. I spent every summer at the Jersey shore since I was 6 years old and it still feels like home.  On a day like today, I wanted to be casual and comfortable. I believe the #1 summer MUST HAVE is a printed kimono, the one I am wearing is from LA based wholesale apparel brand UMGEE USA (and I'm totally obsessed with it). So far I have worn it to work, for a night out in the city, and to the beach.

My dress is the "new look inspire sleeveless skater dress" by ASOS curve in in blue.  My casual satchel/cross body navy leather handbag is by Cali based brand Remi & Reid.  Jewels by Freida Rothman (dying over this rose quartz necklace layering look) + pastel cuff by Child of Royals. Last but not least, I choose this black floppy hat from Forever 21 because I am SICK of seeing straw hats on the beach and I wanted to be a little more chic.

I hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend!
