Weekend Escape: Le St Martin Hotel #Montreal
I had the opportunity to spontaneously visit Montreal, Quebec last month and I completely fell in love with the city. The architecture, amazing people, and french vibe really reminded me of Paris and being in Europe. It is the perfect winter weekend getaway destination, a quick flight or a 6 hour drive from NY (which goes by really fast, figure a little more then the flying time to cali). I wanted to go back to this amazing city before Christmas to shop, have dinner at a fabulous restaurant Gibby's in Old Port, and relax.
This time we decided to stay at the highly recommended Le St Martin Hotel, located in downtown Montreal. The location was perfect because it is right in the heart of the city, and walking distance to restaurants/clubs/bars/shopping. The boutique hotel was completely decorated for Christmas, which always brings a smile to my face. The rooms were spacious with a classic look: huge round bathtub, fire place, working desk (free wifi), and beautiful city views. The Le St Martin hotel has a wonderful restaurant L'Aromate by celebrated chef Jean- Francois Plante, VIP rooftop pool open all year round (heated jets… although we were not daring enough to brave the cold), and fitness center. It is the perfect hotel for a romantic weekend with your love, family vacation, or just a night out downtown.
